About Me

How It All Started

Hey there! I’m Ana Cudin, a fun-loving yogi born and raised in the beautiful city of Nova Friburgo, Brazil. I'm married to my amazing partner and a proud mom of two wonderful boys, Matteo and Daniel.

My yoga journey began in 1998 when I found peace while preparing for university entrance exams, thanks to my mom who took me to a yoga class. This initial experience sparked a lifelong passion. In 2008, I traveled to Vrindavan, in India and completed my first teacher training at the renowned Sivananda Yoga Vedanta School. Since then, I've racked up over 1500 hours of training in Hatha Yoga, along with additional certifications in Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and an Ayurveda diploma.

Before diving deep into yoga, I pursued a degree in International Relations, and my career has been quite the adventure. I’ve been a flight attendant with Swissair, worked for four years at the Swiss Consulate in Rio de Janeiro, and since 2007, I’ve been working for the Swiss Confederation in Geneva, taking on the role of business analyst in 2020.

My yoga teaching experience includes teaching at Sivananda Geneva in 2008 and 2009, working as a private teacher from 2012 until 2015, and since 2022, I have been an independent teacher at the Espace de quartier de Soubeyran.

Yoga has been my go-to for maintaining balance in my life, both inside and out, ever since I was 18. It’s more than a practice for me—it’s a lifestyle that keeps me grounded and centered.

Students come to my yoga classes for various reasons: to stretch, to find peace of mind, to recover from an injury, or simply to discover a sense of balance in their lives. In my classes, you’ll find peace, balance, and numerous physical and psychological benefits.

Come practice with me, and let’s embark on this journey to inner peace together!

  • I am not flexible. Can I do yoga?
Yes, absolutely! Anyone can do yoga, regardless of their flexibility. Yoga classes are designed to accommodate everyone's abilities, with poses and modifications that suit your current level. You don't need to be flexible to start; flexibility will develop gradually with practice.
  • I feel too old to start yoga. Isn't it too late?
It is never too late to start yoga. No matter your age, the most important thing is to have the desire and to listen to your body while practicing the poses.
  • I have never done yoga before. Can I still try a class?
Of course! Everyone is welcome in the class, even if you have never done yoga before. The exercises will be adapted, and variations will be offered so that every level can benefit.
  • What should I bring to the class?
Nothing. Just come in comfortable clothes. The studio provides mats, cushions, blankets, and straps for practice.
  • I have health issues. Can I still do yoga?
Yes, you can do yoga even if you have health issues. It is crucial to inform your yoga instructor of your conditions so they can guide you in the poses without risking injury. Remember, the yoga instructor is not a doctor, so for specific concerns, consult your doctor before starting the classes. And most importantly, listen to your body: if it hurts, don't force it.
  • I'm trying to understand the schedule of classes, but am having a bit of difficulty. Can you direct me to which classes take place when?
Classes take place every Monday and Thursday from 12 to 1pm.
  • What language are the courses conducted in?
In French. I can translate to English while we’re doing the asanas, but Yoga Nidra is fully in French.
